KompliTax was built because I watched thousands of Kenyan businesses struggle with eTIMS compliance — paying accountants they couldn't afford, risking penalties they didn't understand, and spending hours on manual data entry that should take seconds.

Every feature — from the M-Pesa SMS parser to the AI categorizer — was designed for how Kenyan businesses actually work.

KompliTax is not backed by a big corporation or foreign investors. It's built by a Kenyan change agent who understands how M-Pesa works, how KRA operates, and what a shop owner in Mombasa or a landlord in Nairobi actually needs.

When KRA introduced eTIMS enforcement, most compliance tools were built for large enterprises with IT departments. Small businesses, landlords, and independent accountants were left to figure it out alone. I built KompliTax to be the tool I would have wanted: one that speaks the language of Kenyan business, integrates natively with M-Pesa, generates invoices in KRA's exact format, and is priced so that even a small shop in Gikomba can afford it.
